Urban Outfitters Press Day SS15

A few weeks ago i helped out at the Urban Outfitters SS15 press day, it involved a lot of hard work organising and chasing suppliers to get the samples delivered in time, but as you can see from the finished result, no efforts were wasted! 

Bloggers and Magazine representatives attended the event, who were spoilt with goody bags and on-site caterers serving canepés - not bad huh! 

Calvin Klein, Reebok & Vagabond are just an example of the many elite brands featured, alongside Urban's ownbrand range. Its safe to say i know where i will be shopping come Spring 15.

My London Home

This is just a quick post to show you where i have been living in London for the past 6 months! I was lucky enough to find this amazing warehouse in Clapton which boasts 18 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 2 kitchens and 6 bathrooms. 

Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, I managed to spend all of my savings on clothes and living in London in general, so could no longer afford the £650 a month rent... with only 1 month left in my placement at Urban Outfitters i decided to move to Preston Road and live with my friend from back home for the remainder of my time here. 

Even though it was sad to leave, i have a newly refurbished house waiting for me when i return to Swindon which i am renting with two friends. Which also means more frequent blog posts now i have two live-in "photographers" at my disposal ;) heh heh.   

St Pauls Carnival Outfit

This outfit was put together for St Pauls Carnival in Bristol; the dress was bought in the sale along with the bag - absolute bargains! I have now started working at Urban Outfitters HQ along with working a second job to fund my London life... so apologies for the lateness of this post! 
The shoes are my new all time favourites, combining my love of platforms and trainers! 
I will be uploading a post soon of my move to London and my new house!!

JJ Studios (2) - Shoreditch

This month i've been doing some work experience at Phase Eight with my cousin in the creative department, helping out on their AW14 shoot. We worked with the beautiful model, Pauline, from Belgium. Among many of the amazing locations (will upload posts soon) this was by far my favourite. JJ studios is located in Shoreditch, and boasted a shabby chic interior. 

Not long now until i start working at Urban Outfitters... counting down the days!

Monochrome

10 days til I move to London and start interning at Phase Eight for a month, then moving onto Urban Outfitters Wooooo! Haven't put many fashion posts up recently, so here's a little monochrome outfit i put together to show off my new coat!

Dotwork Flower

Finally got round to drawing my Mum a dotwork flower, couldn't take the nagging anymore! Its not perfect, but i'm quite pleased with how its turned out.. I decided to use a thicker pen (0.3) to get a more prominent effect, and to make it stand out when i frame it for her. :) 

I also finished my last exam today, and i move to London in a month, happppyyyy days! Oh and its my birthday next week... social life is looking good again! Now that i've finished university for a year you can expect lots more drawings!! So keep checking back :) And of course when i start my internship at Urban Outfitters i'll make sure to put up a blog post on it!

Phase Eight AW14 Studio Shoot

A couple of weeks ago I went to London for an interview for the accessories buying internship at Urban Outfitters HQ, behind their flagship store on Oxford Circus, and i got it! Yaaaay! So i will be starting there in July. While i was there i stayed at my cousins house in Dalston; she's the art director for Phase Eight so let me tag along for the day and sit in on their AW14 shoot before the interview. 

The studio was amazing, as you can see from the pictures, and in such a great location (Shoreditch)... I've visited Hackney before, but i'm certain now that this is where i want to live when i move up in June!
